Cultural Transformation Tools for Organisations

Imagine a workplace culture where there’s excitement in the air, where everything is done to enhance the customer experience, where innovation thrives and teams easily adapt to unforeseen circumstances, where your senior team works toward a shared vision of success, and where people genuinely care for one another, feel recognised and are supported within the organisation.

These are cultures where employees are able to bring their beliefs and values to work and where there’s a shared view, throughout the organisation, that sustainable they have the right culture to be high performing.

The Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT) provide leaders, consultants, and coaches with one of the most detailed and comprehensive cultural diagnostics and values assessment instruments commercially available.

Available in over 50 languages, CTT is used by over 6,000 organisations in more than 90 countries.

•CTT provides leaders with a way of managing the cultural evolution of their organisations to the same level of detail that they manage their finances.

•CTT results can generate deep meaningful conversations about the purpose and strategy of the organisation and the well-being of all stakeholders.

•CTT offers a road map for achieving high performance, full spectrum resilience, and long-term sustainability that supports the triple bottom line: profit, people, and planet.

•CTT helps leaders assess their organisation’s readiness for change by showing where the energy is currently and where it wants to go within the organisation.

•CTT highlights what current structures are supporting the desired culture and what structures or processes may actually be in the way of their desired outcomes.

•CTT is a predictive or leading indicator. It enables you to see and respond to the motivation of your employees and so support employee engagement which impacts performance

•CTT helps leaders see what needs to be lived fully in order for the organisation to survive and it reveals what will free the full human potential in a particular organisation.

Key diagnostics include:

•Values Alignment: To what degree do the values in the existing culture match the values of employees? Employees aligned with their culture demonstrate greater levels of performance and commitment.

•Mission Alignment: To what degree is there a match between where the culture stands today and where it needs to be in the future? Employees know what the organisation needs to be successful in achieving its mission.

•Cultural Entropy: How much energy in the organisation is consumed by doing unproductive or unnecessary work? Higher entropy equals lower employee engagement.

What makes Barrett's Cultural Transformation Tools unique?

•The Barrett Cultural Values Assessment does not set out a fixed pattern of culture effectiveness. Instead, it provides a far more open framework for employees and leaders to express how they see the culture now and what they believe needs to change to achieve high performance. The values they choose in the current and desired culture allow for dialogue about their unique circumstances rather than fitting into a pre-determined idea of an ideal culture.

•The addition of the personal values perspective enables leaders and change agents to build cultures that honour the personal values of their people thus creating far higher levels of personal alignment and a deeper sense of belonging in the organisation. This level of understanding provides an insight that allows leaders to guide the transformation with a sensitivity that many other tools ignore.

•Clients have the opportunity to customise the survey. The values lists and demographics are tailored to the language and culture used in the organisation.

•The survey is simple – it takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and consists of three questions which can be done on paper or online.

•The process is fast: 2-5 weeks from project initiation to report.

•The survey is available in many languages and can be carried out in multiple languages at the same time.

•Regular assessments allow you to monitor change, consistency and the impact your endeavours have on the organisation and the people in it.
